2. Data we collect

This site has no user accounts, no newsletter and no contact form. We collect personal data only when you email us: your email address and whatever you choose to write. We do not profile visitors and we do not sell data.

Like any website, our hosting provider’s servers log technical request data (IP address, browser, the page requested and the time) to keep the site running and secure.

3. Purpose and legal basis

  • Answering your emails: legitimate interest and steps taken at your request (art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
  • Server logs and site security: legitimate interest in running a secure website (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Search analytics (Algolia Insights): your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give or refuse in the banner shown with the search. See section 4.

4. Services that receive data from your browser

Some parts of this site are loaded from other companies’ servers. Your browser then sends them your IP address and normal request data.

  • Algolia (Algolia SAS) runs the tour search. What you type in the search box is sent to Algolia to find matching tours. If you accept search analytics in the banner, Algolia also records which results you click, under an anonymous identifier, so we can improve the results. If you decline, it does not.   • jsDelivr delivers the search’s JavaScript library (cdn.jsdelivr.net). See the jsDelivr privacy policy.
  • TripAdvisor hosts the tour photos (media-cdn.tripadvisor.com). Loading them behaves as if you had visited TripAdvisor: it may collect data about you and set its own cookies. See the TripAdvisor privacy policy.
  • OpenStreetMap provides the map tiles on tour pages that show a map (tile.openstreetmap.org). See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.

When you follow a link to Viator to book, you leave this site. From then on Viator’s own privacy and cookie policies apply, including the cookies it uses to credit the booking to us. We receive no personal data about your booking, only a commission report.

Some of these companies are based outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where that is the case, transfers rely on the safeguards each company describes in its own privacy policy.

5. Data retention

Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and, at most, for the limitation period for any legal claim arising from it (3 years, art. 1967 of the Spanish Civil Code). They are then deleted.

6. Your rights

You can ask for access to, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, or object to its processing, by writing to hello@magicalnorth.tours. You can withdraw consent to search analytics at any time by clearing this site’s stored data in your browser; the banner then appears again. You also have the right to complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
